What this is
Inner Goods is a design-fiction website: nine fictional products, built to look and behave like a premium store, that exist to make an argument about advertising and higher human needs. It is not a functioning retailer.
Payment
No payment is ever requested or processed. Every price on this site is exactly $0.00, printed as part of the fiction rather than as a genuine offer for sale. Reaching checkout does not create a transaction.
Accounts
There is no account system. Nothing is registered, logged in, or stored about you on a server when you browse this site.
Your basket
Adding a product to the basket stores that choice in your browser's local storage only. It is never sent to a server, is not linked to any identity, and disappears if you clear your browser's site data. "Empty the basket" clears it directly.
What is not collected
No medical or psychological information is collected, regardless of what a product page discusses. The "Real Cost" and "Real Alternatives" sections are editorial, reflective writing, not a questionnaire, and nothing you do on this site is recorded as personal health data.
Cookies
This site sets two small, functional, first-party cookies: one remembers which language/region you're browsing in, and one remembers whether you've dismissed the announcement banner. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and no third-party ad or tracking cookies are set.
Analytics and hosting
This site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure page-load performance. That measurement is aggregate and anonymous — it is not a personal profile. Vercel's hosting infrastructure may log standard request data (such as IP address and browser user agent) for security and reliability, consistent with normal web-hosting practice.
